Dorset Business Awards 2017 Recognising Dorset’s creative and digital impact
The Dorset Business Awards, run by the Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), is celebrating the concentration of talent across the county by encouraging entries for the Creative and Digital Impact Award, sponsored by Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and Liz Lean PR.
To recognise the breadth of creative and digital talent in Dorset, Dorset LEP and Sandbanks-based PR and marketing consultancy Liz Lean PR have joined forces to discover examples of innovation and originality in projects completed last year. As one of the fastest growing sectors in the county,DCCI and the sponsors acknowledge the importance of the category.
In 2016 Bournemouth-based game developers, Amuzo, won the Creative and Digital Impact Award by impressing judges with their international pitch to create and launch the new LEGO City App. This project illustrated the nurturing of creativity and imagination through digital means, encouraging children to build and enjoy the LEGO City product range within a virtual environment.
Commenting on the award win, Mike Hawkyard from Amuzo, said: “We were delighted to discover that the Dorset Business Awards has the glamour, organisation and PR reach of any national awards which we have entered previously. There have been a number of benefits to winning a Dorset Business Award including raising our profile in the Dorset business community and having the opportunity to build further links with other local companies. We even received presents from other organisations we have never met before to congratulate us on our achievement. I can’t recommend entering the awards enough.’’
