Summary

Gillingham is the most northerly town in Dorset and in the last twenty years has grown particularly rapidly and been successful in attracting a variety of new industries. Gillingham is important as a service and shopping centre for the surrounding villages.

Communications

Gillingham is located four miles north west of Shaftsbury at the junction of the b3095 and b3081. The A303 trunk road is only four miles away. The town also has its own railway station on the Exeter to London line.

Commercial Land

A rapidly expanding town, Gillingham offers modern business parks on the outskirts of the town, Brickfields Business Park and Kingsmead Business Park. Gillingham is conveniently situated for access to the A303.
