Help us champion and promote Dorset as a place to live, work and invest.

Dorset is home to a wealth of sector-leading, national and international businesses, many of whom are headquartered here. There is a strong culture of enterprise and innovation within the area and employers have access to a skilled and well-qualified workforce.

The local environment provides the opportunity of living and working in one of the most desirable locations in the UK, featuring the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, vast areas of outstanding natural beauty and award-winning sandy beaches.

Dorset’s locational advantages derive from its strategic position at the centre of the South coast of England. It has excellent road and rail links to London, two commercial ports and the growth of Bournemouth Airport for business and leisure travel all add to the location’s ease of connectivity within the UK and abroad.

Dorset benefits from world class education establishments in Higher and Further Education including Bournemouth University, Arts University Bournemouth, AECC, Bournemouth and Poole College, Kingston Maurward College and Weymouth College.

Dorset Ambassadors are business people from all sectors across Dorset, who are passionate about being located and doing business in Dorset. Also represented are Local Authorities, partners and stakeholders. They share a belief that further economic growth, more high-quality jobs and improved skills are good for Dorset businesses and residents.

Dorset Ambassadors are prepared to volunteer their valuable time, by highlighting the opportunities that arise from doing business in Dorset, to help grow the economy and increase prosperity locally.
