The NHS faces a pivotal moment, grappling with significant workforce pressures, increasing care demands, and structural barriers to innovation. Despite these challenges, the NHS has unmatched potential to lead globally in health and social care innovation (The Sinker Review, 2024).
This programme is designed to support innovative businesses to engage with the health and social care sector and wider research and development community in Dorset, and to explore future supply chain opportunities that meet the health and care needs of Dorset’s population.
To do this, the programme comprises of three events:
The Dorset ‘Prospectus’ (NHS Dorset's Joint Forward Plan 2023-2028) – Making Dorset the Healthiest Place to Live
Date: 30th January 2025 – 12:00 noon (Duration: 1 hour)
Format: Online
Target Audience: Businesses and innovators interested in contributing to Dorset’s health and social care innovation ecosystem.
Event Objectives:
- Introduce NHS Dorset and its vision for making Dorset the healthiest place to live.
- Highlight opportunities for businesses and innovators to engage with Dorset Health and Social Care, the wider health and care ecosystem, and Dorset's R&D community.
- Provide a platform for Q&A with key decision-makers.

Target Audience: Businesses and innovators seeking to understand how to work effectively with NHS and Social Care, and to how to connect with Dorset’s Research and Development community.
Event Objectives:
- Provide practical insights into engaging with NHS and Social Care systems in England.
- Outline key policies, procurement processes, and collaboration pathways.
- Share best practices for navigating NHS partnerships.

Dorset Health and Social Care Industry Collaboration Summit

Target Audience: Businesses (delegates from Events 1 and 2 and open to those businesses engaging for the first time).

- Foster connections between industry and Dorset Health and Social Care.
- Showcase Dorset’s health and social care innovation ecosystem.
- Facilitate one-to-one meetings to explore collaboration opportunities.
- Capturing the details of businesses interested in continuing to be connected with future supply chain and R&D innovation opportunities in Dorset.
