We’re proud to sponsor the Business Leader of the Year Award at the annual Dorset Business Awards taking place on Thursday 28 November.
This week we’re showcasing the achievements of the three award finalists. First up is Jamie Sergeant, Managing Director and founder of Crowd, a Bournemouth based creative agency which has grown into an award-winning global network over just seven years.
This business leader has a tireless enthusiasm that inspires both Crowd employees, industry leaders, and some of the world’s biggest brands.
Crowd boasts strong UK and global growth and recent achievements include: retaining a three-year contract in Dubai aviation, winning an Australian client to further fuel Crowd’s global expansion, and winning the tourism account for Ras Al Khaimah – one of the UAE’s most popular holiday regions. Crowd also launched the Jurassic Coast Trust website and won the Drum’s Christmas Leaderboard with an outdoor campaign for China Southern Airlines.
As well as running a successful company, Jamie is also a proud ambassador for Dorset. He is a business leader who is not only promoting his business, but Dorset’s creativity, which he actively supports by providing opportunities for locally-sourced talent through school work placements and graduate jobs for Bournemouth University students.
On the global stage, Jamie has visited China as part of the Mayor of London’s prestigious International Business Programme. He has also spoken at a number of governmental events and at numerous advertising events such as SXSW and the Shanghai International Advertising Festival.
Crowd now has staff from 20 nationalities employed across twelve offices, meaning the company are now able to help clients in almost every territory around the globe.
Jamie’s personable approach empowers his employees. He encourages his team to work hard towards their personal goals and step out of their comfort zone.
