The NHS is at a critical juncture, facing substantial workforce pressures, growing demands for care, and structural barriers to innovation. Yet, despite these challenges, the NHS holds unparalleled potential to be a global leader in health and social care innovation (The Sinker Review, 2024).
This programme has been developed to support innovative businesses in engaging with the health and social care sector, as well as the broader research and development community in Dorset. It also aims to explore future supply chain opportunities that address the health and care needs of Dorset’s population.
The programme includes three events: two online sessions focusing on Dorset’s potential as a hub for health and social care innovation , pathways to meeting national guidelines, and opportunities to collaborate within Dorset’s health and care ecosystem (to be run on 13th February 2025). The third event is a face-to-face Industry Summit, scheduled for 26 March 2025.
