£900,000 secured by Dorset LEP through the Dorset Growth Deal is funding a new state-of-the-art agri-tech building and farm equipment at Kingston Maurward College, a land-based college near Dorchester.
Providing high quality further education in Dorset is fundamental to advancing career prospects of workers and students in the county. The investment at Kingston Maurward College reaffirms Dorset LEP’s commitment to Dorset’s rural and agricultural strengths.
Work on the contemporary agri-tech building at Kingston Maurward College began in February 2016 and will be completed in May.
The fund is being used to invest in a much needed agricultural classroom, IT and machinery facilities and will position the College at the forefront of agricultural training facilities in the region.
