Professor Paul Gough is Vice-Chancellor of Arts University Bournemouth, UK, taking up the role in late 2019 after six years as Vice-President of RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia. With a background in higher education leadership, he has served on numerous international boards, AHRC committees, and task groups, including chair and panellist for research assessment exercises in UK, Europe, Hong Kong and New Zealand. He is the current chair of UKADIA; the national organisation representing art, design, media and performance institutions. A painter, broadcaster and author he has exhibited internationally and has published nine books and over 80 chapters and research papers. He worked in television for ten years and is currently finishing his second book on the street artist, Banksy, and is contracted with Yale University Press for a monography on Gilbert Spencer RA.
